Villa Olive

The architecture is the point. Two pavilions arranged around the pool: living and dining on one side, bedrooms on the other, with the water between them. High ceilings and seamless indoor–outdoor living throughout, in the cream, teak and sage of every Nusa villa.

The living pavilion overlooks the pool — a large, comfortable sofa and lounge seating, a 50-inch smart TV with Netflix and streaming, air conditioning and a ceiling fan for the hours you would rather have the doors open.

The kitchen and dining pavilion sits across the pool, and is the natural gathering point of the day: a fully equipped modern kitchen with gas stove, microwave, fridge-freezer, Nespresso machine, kettle, filtered water and proper cookware, with an indoor dining table for eight.

Bedroom One — king bed, ensuite shower room, direct access to the pool and tropical gardens.

Three king ensuites, comfortable for up to six — well suited to couples travelling together, families, or small groups who want three proper rooms rather than a bed made up on a sofa.

A private pool with sun loungers and a hand-fringed Balinese parasol, set among lush tropical gardens and stone pathways. Outdoor seating for al fresco dining and evening drinks. Off-road parking for a car or several scooters.

As with all our villas, this one lives open to the tropics and the tropics live back — geckos on the walls, considered good fortune here, butterflies through the garden, the occasional ant in the humid months. We treat the villa professionally every four weeks, and the bedrooms seal completely.

Padang Linjong is one of the most central and walkable addresses in Canggu, where village life meets the island's best dining, surf and wellness. Wake to birdsong and the rustle of palms, then walk to coffee.

Batu Bolong Beach and Old Man's are under five minutes on foot. Crate Café, Nude, Betelnut, Nook and Monsieur Spoon are a few minutes' walk. Echo Beach and the Berawa surf breaks are about ten minutes by scooter.

The Practice Yoga, Samadi Bali, Body Factory, surf schools and meditation centres are all within easy reach. Boutiques, markets, supermarkets, pharmacies and money changers are a short walk. Finns, The Lawn and Atlas Beach Club are a short ride, and the airport forty minutes to an hour depending on traffic.

All times are approximate — on foot or by scooter, and Bali's traffic shifts through the day.

Olive has one of Canggu's most walkable positions — the beach, the cafés, the supermarkets and dozens of restaurants are all a short walk from the gate. Daytime walking is easy and lovely; for evening outings a short scooter ride or a Grab is the safer choice, as some side lanes have limited street lighting.

Scooters remain the most practical way to explore further. Our own Nusa Havens fleet can be delivered to the gate, including licence-free electric vehicles that need no motorcycle permit. Grab and Gojek run reliably throughout, and a private car with or without a driver can be arranged for day trips to Ubud, Uluwatu or beyond.

Off-street parking for a car or several scooters, with additional space just outside the gate. For airport transfers, share your flight details with your Villa Hostess in advance and a private car will be waiting.

Check-in from 4:00 PM, check-out by 11:00 AM. Self check-in available, with full details sent before arrival. A valid passport is required for guests aged 18 and over — standard for villa stays in Bali.

Your Villa Hostess welcomes every guest personally. For arrivals after 9:00 PM a small late-welcome fee applies, so she can stay and greet you properly however late your journey.

The pool. It is unfenced, directly accessible from the bedrooms and living areas, and not heated. The living and dining pavilion sits across the pool from the bedrooms, so guests cross open poolside to move between them. Children must be supervised at all times, particularly under-12s and non-swimmers. We ask that the entrance gates are kept secured. A cot and high chair are available on request with notice.

Private leisure stays only — no events or parties, in respect of our neighbours. Smoking in the garden and pool area only. No security deposit is required; we simply ask that you treat the villa with the care we put into preparing it.

Bali is developing quickly, and building work happens across the island. We chose this walkable pocket for its balance of calm and convenience and protect it as far as we can, but we do not control the land around us. Should nearby noise arise, message your Villa Hostess and we will do what we can.
