Villa Anaya

The main pavilion opens wide to the pool and garden: an open-plan living area with two double sofa beds, a long teak dining table seating eight, and a breakfast bar for four. The kitchen is fully open and properly equipped — gas stove, microwave, fridge-freezer, Nespresso machine, kettle, cookware and a full dining set.

Set behind the living space is the first king bedroom, with twin dressing tables, wardrobe storage and an ensuite with vanity, toilet and walk-in shower.

The second pavilion, reached across the poolside, is a private master bedroom — a king bed, dressing table and storage, its own covered outdoor veranda, and an indoor–outdoor ensuite with double vanity basins, a walk-in rain shower and a dressing area opening to a small private garden.

There is also a guest toilet and a laundry area with a washing machine.

Anaya sleeps up to eight, and it is worth understanding how, so the villa fits the group you are bringing.

The living area, main pavilion — two double sofa beds, sleeping up to four. This is the open living space rather than an enclosed room: it is cooled by fans and the garden breeze rather than air conditioning, and it shares the main pavilion's ensuite.

So four guests sleep in two private, air-conditioned king ensuites, and a further four sleep on sofa beds in the open living pavilion.

For two couples, or a family of four, the villa is generous. For a group of eight, it is honest to say four of you are sleeping in the living space — lovely for friends and older children, less so if everyone expects a bedroom door.

A private pool framed by tropical planting, with a wooden deck, sun loungers and bean bags, an outdoor shower, and a hand-fringed Balinese parasol turning in the afternoon shade. The surroundings are green and entirely private.

Morning light on the water before anyone else is awake is, for most guests, the memory that stays.

As with all our villas, this one lives open to the tropics and the tropics live back — geckos on the walls, considered good fortune here, butterflies through the garden, the occasional ant in the humid months. We treat the villa professionally every four weeks, and both bedrooms seal completely.

Pererenan is the calmer, leafier neighbour to central Canggu — the same good cafés, surf and sea within easy reach, but a slower rhythm to come home to. Quiet lanes, rice fields close by, and a genuine sense of community.

Babadan Beach is a short stroll from the gate. Lima Beach, a favourite for sunset drinks and beachfront dining, is close enough to wander to. Pererenan and Echo Beach — surf breaks, long shoreline walks, easy café mornings — are a few minutes by scooter.

Some of Bali's loveliest cafés, bakeries and slow-brunch spots are minutes away, along with yoga studios and gyms, and the wider Batu Bolong and Canggu dining scene an easy ride down the coast.

Tanah Lot is an easy run for sunset. Ubud is around an hour and a half inland on a clear road. The airport is roughly under an hour, traffic depending.

All times are approximate and by scooter — Bali's traffic shifts through the day.

Pererenan is an easy place to find your feet — walkable in parts, effortless by scooter, and well served by drivers when you would rather not think about it.

On foot — Babadan and Lima beaches within a short stroll, beachfront tables close enough to wander to, and lovely walking for slow mornings and unhurried evenings by the sea.

By scooter — the simplest way to move along this stretch of coast. A few minutes to Pererenan's cafés, gyms and beach clubs; a little further to Batu Bolong and central Canggu; open coastal roads out towards Tanah Lot. Our own Nusa Havens fleet can be delivered to your gate before you arrive, including licence-free electric vehicles that need no motorcycle permit.

By car — private parking at the villa for a car and scooters. Grab and Gojek run reliably throughout, and private drivers and airport transfers can be arranged.

Check-in from 4:00 PM, check-out by 11:00 AM. Self check-in available, with full details sent before arrival. A valid passport is required for guests aged 18 and over — standard for villa stays in Bali.

Your Villa Hostess welcomes every guest personally. For arrivals after 9:00 PM a small late-welcome fee applies, so she can stay and greet you properly however late your journey.

The pool. It is unfenced and ungated, not heated, and directly accessible from the living areas. The two pavilions sit either side of it, so guests cross open poolside to move between them. Children must be supervised at all times, particularly under-12s and anyone who is not a confident swimmer — please never leave them near the water unattended, even briefly. There is no lifeguard. We ask that the entrance gates are kept closed. A cot and high chair are available on request with notice.

Private leisure stays only — no events or parties, in respect of our neighbours. Smoking in the garden and pool area only. No security deposit is required; we simply ask that you treat the villa with the care we put into preparing it.

Bali builds and celebrates constantly. We chose this calm Pererenan pocket for its peace and protect it as far as we can, but we do not control the land around us — a neighbour may carry out maintenance, nearby land may be built upon, and local ceremonies are part of Balinese life.
