Villa Gaudi II

6 guests2 bedrooms3 beds2 baths

An upper-floor master with the best paddy view in the lane, above a pool framed by open rice fields.

There is a particular pleasure in waking up above the rice fields rather than beside them.

The master at Gaudi II is on the upper floor, and its windows look out across open paddies — green in the wet months, gold before harvest, and full of birds at six in the morning whether you asked for them or not. It is the reason to choose this villa over its twin next door.

The house is new, a little larger than Gaudi I at around 125 square metres, and sits at the calm end of a no-through lane in Tumbuk Bayuh with its own pool and gate.

The Space

Two light-filled floors with high ceilings, finished in the cream, teak and sage of every Nusa villa.

The ground floor opens onto the pool — open-plan living and dining, comfortable lounge seating with a smart TV, and a sofa for an extra guest. The kitchen is fully equipped for real cooking: stove, microwave, fridge-freezer, kettle, Nespresso machine, filtered water and full cookware, with a dining area for relaxed meals in.

The upper floor is the master, and it is where the villa earns its name — bright, generous, with a work desk, a full-length mirror, and large windows onto the paddies.

Bedrooms & Bathrooms

Bedroom One, ground floor — a king bed with an ensuite walk-in shower and a garden outlook.

The master, upper floor — a king bed with a work desk, an ensuite with a bathtub, and panoramic rice-field views.

Hotel-quality linens and towels throughout, air conditioning in both bedrooms, wardrobe storage and calm, neutral décor. Both rooms seal completely for a cool night's sleep.

There is also a sofa in the living area for additional sleeping — useful for a family or a third traveller.

The Garden & Pool

A private pool framed by open paddies, with a poolside terrace for morning coffee and the long unwinding hour before dinner. The lane has no through traffic. Dedicated private parking, with room for several scooters.

This villa sits closer to open country than most, and it lives accordingly — geckos on the walls, considered good fortune here, butterflies through the garden, and rather more insect life in the warm, humid months than a fully enclosed house would have. That is simply Bali beside the rice fields. We carry out professional pest control every four weeks, far more often than most, and both bedrooms close and seal for a cool retreat.

The Neighbourhood

Tumbuk Bayuh keeps the older, gentler character of Bali — open paddies, unhurried lanes, a settled residential calm — while Canggu's best-loved cafés, beaches and clubs stay comfortably close.

Seseh and Pererenan beaches are around fifteen minutes by scooter, Batu Bolong and Echo Beach roughly twenty. The café, bakery and restaurant scene of Pererenan and Canggu is ten to fifteen minutes, as are the yoga studios, gyms and co-working spaces. Tanah Lot is a lovely fifteen-minute run at sunset, and the airport forty-five minutes to an hour depending on traffic.

All times are approximate and by scooter — Bali's traffic shifts through the day.

Getting Around

Two wheels are the way here — a scooter is the quickest route to the cafés, beaches, gyms and shops, most only minutes from the gate. Our own Nusa Havens fleet can be brought to your door before check-in, including licence-free electric options that need no motorcycle permit.

If you would rather not ride, Grab and Gojek are dependable across the area, and we are glad to arrange a private driver or a car for the day — the easy choice for airport runs, temple trips or exploring further out.

Drivers, chefs and island days can be arranged through our experiences.

Good to Know

Check-in from 4:00 PM, check-out by 11:00 AM. Self check-in available, with full details sent before arrival. A valid passport is required for guests aged 18 and over — standard for villa stays in Bali.

Your Villa Hostess welcomes every guest personally. For arrivals after 9:00 PM a small late-welcome fee applies, so she can stay and greet you properly however late your journey.

The pool and the stairs. The pool is unfenced, directly accessible from the living areas, and not heated. This is a two-storey villa with internal stairs. Children must be supervised at all times, particularly under-12s and non-swimmers. We ask that the entrance gates are kept closed. A cot and high chair are available on request with notice.

Private leisure stays only — no events or parties, in respect of our neighbours. Smoking in the garden and pool area only. No security deposit is required; we simply ask that you treat the villa with the care we put into preparing it.

Bali is developing quickly, and building work happens across the island. We chose this rice-field setting for its calm and protect it as far as we can, but we do not control the land around us. Should nearby noise arise, message your Villa Hostess and we will do what we can.
